Pupil Premium
What is Pupil Premium?
Pupil Premium is additional funding provided to help ensure that all children have the support they need to thrive at school. It is allocated for pupils who are eligible for Free School Meals, those who have been eligible at any point in the last six years, and children who are or have been in the care of the local authority.
The funding is designed to reduce barriers to learning and wellbeing, so that every child can access rich learning experiences, make strong progress and achieve their potential.
Pupil Premium at Clandon
At Clandon, Pupil Premium funding is used thoughtfully and flexibly to support children in ways that make a genuine difference. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we focus on understanding individual needs and providing targeted, personalised support where it will have the greatest impact.
This may include enhanced learning experiences, additional academic or emotional support, access to enrichment opportunities, and practical help that enables children to fully participate in school life. Our aim is always to build confidence, remove barriers and support children to feel successful, included and valued.
Accountability and Transparency
Schools are required to publish information about how Pupil Premium funding is used and the impact it has. We welcome this, as it allows parents and carers to understand how the funding supports children at Clandon and how it contributes to positive outcomes.

Accessing Pupil Premium Support
Pupil Premium funding is allocated to the school annually. If you think your child may be eligible, or if you would like to discuss how support can be accessed, please contact the school office in confidence.
Requests for financial support with school-based activities are considered sensitively by the Headteacher and can be made via the school office.
