Clandon C of E School A caring community where all can THRIVE

Thank you for visiting Clandon School's website.  We are very proud of our school and welcome this opportunity to share it with you.

Clandon School is at an exciting time in its history.  Since 2019 the school has worked closely with Shere Infant School, with both schools sharing Mrs Vicky Voller as Headteacher.  Following a consultation at the end of 2020/start of 2021, governors of both schools voted unanimously in favour of forming a federation between Clandon Primary School and Shere Infant School.  At the start of the summer term 2021 the Newlands Church of England School Federation took over from the previous governing bodies of Clandon and Shere.  The Federation has a new governing body with governors representing both schools.

The Federation presents both Clandon and Shere with an exciting future full of possibilities.  Consultation documents, giving further information about the process and benefits of federation are available via this link: Newlands Federation.

Clandon is a small, family school in the beautiful village of West Clandon.  We warmly welcome all children between the ages of four and eleven.  At Clandon School we believe that the richest learning experiences do not happen at a desk, but rather engaged in everyday living and hands on exploring in an active relationship with life.

Our school is set against the magnificent backdrop of Clandon Park, a thousand acres of country estate providing the school with wonderful and unparalleled resources.  We have recently been granted access to the park and have thrown open our gates, allowing our children to begin the most wonderful educational adventure.  We have our own ancient woodland called the Wilderness, playing fields and opportunities to learn about the animals and environments that form the heart of our rural community.

At Clandon, children experience a bespoke and unique curriculum through personalised learning that is meaningful and memorable, playful, collaborative, and lively.  Our children are happy, motivated, and excited by their learning.  Alongside high academic outcomes, Clandon children develop a deep connection with the natural world that we hope will last a lifetime.
