Rabbit Class (Reception)
Welcome to Rabbit Class 2018-19
- Mrs Major: Class Teacher
- Miss Linington: Class Teacher Wednesdays
- Mrs Harwood: Teaching Assistant (mornings)
- Mrs Fraser and Miss Ralph: Teaching Assistants (Afternoons)
Morning Routine: Please take your child to the gate to Rabbit Class outdoor play area where staff will be on hand to welcome them and take them into the classroom.
Illness: If your child is ill please phone the school office early on the first morning of their absence. It is helpful if you can let us know the symptoms of your child's illness. To help your child to get the most out of their time at school and avoid spreading infection to others, please do not send them back to school until they have been well for 24 hours. If your child has vomited or had diarrhoea they must stay away from school until 48 hours after the last bout of illness.
PE Days: Rabbit Class has PE lessons on Tuesday. Each child must have a pair of shorts and t-shirt for gymnastics as well as jogging bottoms, a sweatshirt and trainers for games when the weather is colder. PE kits should be left in school during term time and children will bring their kit home for washing during holidays.
End of the Day: If your child is being collected from school by someone other than their parent or carer, please let a member of school staff know. You can do this either in person or by phoning the school office, or writing a note. If someone other than a parent will regularly collect your child from school, please let us know in writing and we will keep a note of the arrangement.
Classroom Volunteers: Once children are securely settled at school we always appreciate extra help in the classroom. This can be a regular commitment or occasional help, as and when you are able, for events in school or trips. If you are interested in helping please speak with Mrs Major. A Disclosure and Barring Scheme check is required for all volunteers.
