Morning Routine: Families enter via the woodland gate and school staff will greet children at the back door to the classroom.  Parents exit the school site via the kitchen gate.  Children go into the classroom and hang up their coats and bookbags.

Things your child needs to bring: Your child needs bookbag, pencil case and a named, refillable water bottle filled with water from home (PLEASE, NO SQUASH OR JUICE).  All children need a warm, waterproof coat in school each day and should wear their school uniform unless it is Badger Class PE day or Forest School day - see below.

PE Days: Badger Class PE lessons are on Fridays.  Children should come to school dressed their PE kit - shorts, t-shirt and plimsolls.  As the weather gets colder children will need jogging bottoms, sweatshirt and trainers.

Forest School: Badger Class Forest School sessions are on Wednesdays.  Children should come to school dressed in their Forest School kit

    • Tracksuit bottoms
    • Long sleeved top and a jumper
    • Waterproof coat and trousers
    • Warm socks and wellies
    • Gloves

Illness: Please phone the school office (tel: 01483 222442) as soon as possible if your child will not be attending school for any reason.  Please do not send your child to school if they are generally unwell, for example with sickness or diarrhoea.  School office staff will ask you about the symptoms of your child's illness to see if there is a pattern with other children in school with similar symptoms.

To help your child to get the most out of school and avoid spreading infection to others, please do not send them back to school until they have been well for 24 hours.  If your child has vomited or had diarrhoea they must stay away from school until 48 hours after the last bout of illness.

Covid-19: Please phone the school office but do not send your child to school if they are showing symptoms of Covid-19:

    • a new continuous cough
    • and/or fever
    • and/or a loss of, or change in, sense of taste or smell

Your child will need to do a PCR test.  If your child's test result is positive they must remain at home for 10 days until fully recovered.  If your child's test result is negative they may return to school.

End of the Day: If your child is going to be collected from school by someone other than their parent or regular carer, please let one of the staff know, either in person, by phoning the office, or by writing us a note.  If someone else regularly collects your child, please let us know in writing and we will keep a note of the arrangement.
