Breakfast Club, Monday to Friday 8.00-8.45am 

Clandon School's Breakfast Club is run by Mrs Brooks in the nurture room.  Children are delivered to the nurture room door from 8.00am.  Here they will be offered a freshly cooked hot breakfast, for example porridge, bagels, toast, crumpets, and pancakes and fruit and fruit juices.  After breakfast children can then take part in a range of art and craft activities and enjoy listening to a story before being escorted to their classrooms ready to start the school day.  

Breakfast Club places are booked on a termly basis.  Please email info@clandon.surrey.sch.uk, including your child’s name and the days you wish them to attend Breakfast Club.  You will be required to book the same days each week for the full term.  Refunds will not be paid if your child misses a session. 

• Termly Booking: £5.50 per session. 
• Ad hoc sessions: £6.50 per session.  

Additional ad hoc sessions may be available but cannot be guaranteed. 

Active Hour, Monday to Friday 3.20-4.20pm 

Active Hour offers an hour for children to take part in a range of activities to develop their sporting skills and physicality.  This hour is free of charge.

Booking: To ensure correct staffing ratios bookings are made for a whole term, on the same days each week.  Where a child misses several sessions of Active Hour without a valid reason, their place may be cancelled and offered to another child on the waiting list. 

Places do not roll on from one term to the next but will need to be rebooked at the end of the term for the following term.  Reminders are sent shortly before school holidays. 

Please email info@clandon.surrey.sch.uk to book your child’s place clearly stating their name and the days you would like them to attend Active Hour.  

What your child will need: On the days your child attends Active Hour they need their PE kit in school to change into after school.  Children will wear their kit home; please ensure it is returned in time for their next school PE lesson or for subsequent Active Hour sessions.   Children also need a healthy snack to eat before Active Hour and an additional named bottle of water.  Remember that Clandon is a nut free school.  

Illness and Absence: If your child becomes unwell during the school day and we feel it would not be in their best interest to attend Active Hour, we will contact you to collect them. 

Please let the school office know by email or phone if your child will not attend their booked Active Hour session for any reason and you intend to collect them at 3.20pm.  

Collection: Children should be collected promptly at 4.20pm from the nurture room door.  Please do not arrive early as this is disruptive to other children.  The school reserves the right to charge for regular late collections.

Please let the school office know if someone else will be collecting your child at the end of the extended day.

After School Childcare, Monday to Friday 4.20-5.20pm 

For additional childcare once the Active Hour session ends at 4.20pm we offer wrap around care until 5.20pm.  If you require this extended after school childcare please email the school office in the first instance, including your child’s name and the days you require provision. 

The cost for after school childcare is £6.50 per session.
