PTFA (Parents', Teachers' and Friends' Association)
Welcome to the Clandon School Parents', Teachers' and Friends' Association page.
As a small school we very much rely on the support of all our parents. You are automatically members of the PTFA when you have a child at the school and we encourage you to get involved. The PTFA is a great way to get to know other school parents.
We organise a wide range of events, some with the main aim of raising funds for the school, others purely social – and you are warmly invited to attend all of these events – we look forward to seeing you at an event soon!
For events, please check the school calendar. PTFA events are advertised in the weekly school newsletter and occasional PTFA newsletters, so do look out for our updates there or check out the notice board in school.
We welcome all ideas for new events and activities so please do get in touch with your thoughts and suggestions.
Last year (’15-‘16) we raised nearly £5,000 and the money went towards swimming lessons, theatre trips and Queens 90th birthday commemorative coins for all children as well as Learn Pad tablets for the classrooms and Christmas decorations.
This year (’16-’17) we have a challenging target of £6,000 and, amongst other things, we are aiming to use this money to completely re-fit the school library including equipping it with a new state of the art computer system.
Do look out for our regular newsletters (sent home in book bags) which will keep you updated on events and let you know how much we’ve raised and how that money is being spent.
And finally, please please do get involved in any way you can to help raise money to support our children. Going through Easyfundraising when you shop online is a very simple way to raise funds at no additional cost to you. Visit the Easyfundraising page on the right of this screen.
